Requirements / Qualifications

Work Hours are varied at the different school sites between 7:45am and 3:30pm. Applicants must provide an up-to-date resume as well as one letter of recommendation dated within the past year. All documents must be attached to your edjoin position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading writing and mathematics. Completion of at least 48 college semester units or 60 quarter units of grade C or better may substitute for the competency a passing score of 70% or better on the District Proficiency consisting of Language Arts Reading Comprehension and Mathematics. This test is administered by the District (attach a letter requesting to take the proficiency test or that you have previously passed the District Proficiency Test).

Classified Substitute positions are on an as-needed basis. These positions are not personnel needs dictate the Whittier Union High School District may hire substitute employees as necessary to carry on the functions of the will be screened.
