Job Title:Substitute Food ServiceClassification:Substitute / At-WillOn-Call / As NeededWork Year:On-Call (varies by assignment)Department:Food Services / School Site AdministrationJob SummaryUnder supervision prepares and serves food in a cafeteria serving kitchen or central kitchen; maintains food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition; performs related duties as Duties1. Assist in the preparation of main dishes vegetables salads fruits sandwiches and beverages.2. Assist in baking of breads cookies cakes pastries and other desserts.3. Set up utensils and equipment for lunches.4. Serve a wide variety of lunches and snacks to students faculty and others.5. May assist with the collection of moneys received from the sale of school lunches snacks and other food stuffs.6. Clean and store dishes utensils cafeteria equipment and food supplies.7. Clean work areas and dispose of refuse.8. May assist with wrapping packing and loading of food for transport to satellite serving kitchen.9. May assist in taking inventory.10. May supervise student helpers.11. Operate mixer grinder dishwasher and other equipment common to large kitchens.12. Perform other duties as requested
