Job Summary
Must pass an Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test with a score of 75% or higher in the areas of Math Reading and Writing or have an AA a valid drivers license and maintain be able to provide your own reliable transportation to work sites within Kings County.
Additional requirements:1. Be fingerprinted at the Kings County Office of Education for a background clearance from the Department of Justice and the FBI the $63.00 fee is paid by the applicant in cash money order or cashiers check at the time you are fingerprinted. (The payment and a valid photo ID are required to be fingerprinted). 2. Complete an online New Hire Orientation. 3. Take and pass a Proficiency Test ($7.00 cash fee - due on the day of the test) or provide transcripts showing an AA degree. Contact our office at ext. 10100 to schedule an appointment to take the test.4. Provide a current TB clearance.
