The candidate will work within the subrogation unit to review new potential subrogation claims and maximize recoveries across Auto GL and Property lines of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee caseload of 200-250 claims
- Resolve subrogation claims by conduction through investigations by obtaining and reviewing all necessary file documentation
- Prepares comprehensive and detailed subrogation demands
- Negotiates recovery of claim funds via email and telephone
- Responds promptly to communications from clients customers and other insurance companies and/or attorneys
- File and respond through Arbitration Forums
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills knowledge & expertise
- Possess strong verbal writing and analytical skills;
- Possess strong attention to detail;
- Possess strong organizational skills;
- Is proficient in MS Word and MS Excel;
- Possess the ability to work independently;
- Function equally within a collegial group depending upon the project or data;
- Possess appropriate interpersonal skills; and
- Possess and maintain a professional and consultative demeanor
Education and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will need to:
- Possess a college degree
- At least 5 years of subrogation claims experience
- Prior experience in claim handling as a desk adjuster or field adjuster preferred
- Willing to travel upon request
