- Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture on your team
- Retailbusiness fundamentalsincludingdepartment sales trends inventory management guest shopping patternspricingand promotions strategies
- Planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
- Leading a team of hourly team membersincluding skills inhelping withselecting developing coachingevaluatingandretainingtalent
Asa StyleTeam Leaderno twodaysare ever the same but a typical day willmost likely includethe following responsibilities:
- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
- Ensures every team member understands is trained and consistentlydelivers onTargets guest experience commitmentsandconsistentoperations.
- Actively observes and provides feedback holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
- Reviews area guest financial and team outcome metrics toidentify opportunities takes action to improve andaligns team on the right behaviors and execution celebrates wins drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience.
- Understand sales goals plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your directleader andexecute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagementincluding merchandising pricing workload make changes to salesfloor merchandise displayssales planseventsand promotions.
- With directleaderguidance lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate about Apparel & Accessories by ensuring they are educated on our brands and assortment offerings.
- Lead anddemonstratea safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviorsidentifyingand correcting hazards holding team accountable to following safety expectationsassistingwith incident response and reporting/investigating injuriestimelyand accurately.
- With directleaderguidance lead the apparel backroom process includingsort backroom organizationandreplenishment of thesalesfloorin support of replenishmentfulfillmentandguest needs.
- Plan and validatefloorpadsets by ensuring visual merchandising guides transitions revisionsandsales plans are setaccuratelyand teams are following remerchandising best practices as needed to support a guest readyfloorpad.
- Establish routines to ensure fitting rooms are welcoming clean and safe for our team members andguests.
- Lead anddemonstratea culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through developmentcoachingand team interactions.
- Model the execution of physical security processesin order toenhance the instore security culture.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store including storageand application as directed by best practices.
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches being authenticand respectful and creatingequitableexperiences.
- If applicable as a key carrier follow all safe and secure training and processes.
- Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs.
- Addressall store emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) andmaintaina compliance culture while executing those duties such as compliance with federal state and localadult beveragelaws.
- All other dutiesbasedon business needs.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Previousretail experience preferred but notrequired
- Lead and hold others accountable
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Welcoming and helpful attitudetoward all guests and other team members
- Effective communication skills
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment andaccomplishmultiple tasks within establishedtimeframes
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices andoperatehandheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed

- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructionsreportsand information
- Accurately handle cash register operationsas needed
- Climb up and down laddersas needed
- Scanhandleand move merchandise efficiently and safely includingfrequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise and fixtures up to 44 pounds withoutadditionalassistance from others
- Flexiblework schedule (e.g. nightsweekendsand holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Although the role is full-time it does not come with a guarantee of 40 hours each week. Hours will depend on the needs of the business and may fluctuate as required
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures humidity and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up carryout etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
