Tutor for Science courses in STC #110. Must have a faculty recommendation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet students answer questions and direct them to the proper individual(s).
• Meet with students to tutor in Ag. Sciences Biology Chemistry and/or Physics.
• Maintain documents in the Science tutoring location with Navigate360 software.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Collaborate and communicate with the supervisor.
• Work with students to assist them in understanding material from freshman and sophomore level courses.
• Work with a group of students.
• Work with Faculty members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is for one Fall and Spring semester.

Qualifications:

Requirements and Skills:

• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at East Texas A&M University-Commerce.
• Must be available on weekends and in the evening.
• Basic computer and typing skills.
• Basic phone operations (answering holding and transferring).
• Basic organizational skills.
• Perform accurate and detailed work.
• Ability to work as a team member toward the common goals of the tutoring center.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
