Job Description:
The Student Worker Art & Art History Front Office Assistant will provide broad administrative support for the Department of Art & Art History working closely with the Administrative Manager. The Front Office Assistant should be dedicated friendly punctual and organized. Responsibilities include:
- Representing the department positively as the first point of contact for all front office inquiries; directing students to the appropriate person process or resource.
- Making reservations and managing departmental calendars related to student and faculty activities.
- Organizing files and supplies restocking materials and ensuring the office remains clean and orderly.
- Sorting mail and packages communicating delivery updates promptly and clearly and resolving any related issues.
- Creating and updating departmental resources and documents.
- Collecting course schedule requests from faculty and assisting with schedule creation and verification.
- Performing other administrative tasks as needed.
- Greet visitors with excellent customer service
- Provide general office administrative or clerical support
- May assist with handling incoming and outgoing correspondence including phone calls messages and mail
- May assist with routing and resolving questions or information requests
- May assist with document preparation filing and office records
- Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
- May assist with office supplies and organization of common areas
- May assist with data entry tasks spreadsheets and reports
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
