Job Description

The Web Coordinator is responsible for digital marketing and editing for the University addition they will be responsible for maintaining editing and updating webpages email templates electronic forms and other projects as assigned with a focus on user experience and clean modern design. Graphic design support may also be requested if needed (and if the candidate has applicable experience/skills).

  • Maintaining editing updating and creating webpages to include all major web redesign projects and implementation utilizing content management system.
  • Maintaining consistency and adhering to university branding guideline as outlined by University Relations and Communications and the University Centers Marketing Specialist and Student Manager.
  • Creating and editing various forms using Microsoft products.
  • Working collaboratively with graphic design and multimedia staff to develop and produce visually compelling creative marketing material for special events promotions and campaigns.
  • Assisting with writing creating editing delivering and optimizing a range of web communication materials (i.e. video packages photography etc.).
  • Serving as an administrator for the University Centers web presence.
  • Notifying project teams of completion of web development projects.
  • Archiving work and maintaining marketing analytics.

This position reports to the UC Marketing Student Manager and the UC Marketing Specialist. They are responsible to the Director of Conference & Event Services.

Compensation

$13.00/hour

The University Centers Student Employment Program Wage Classification Scale classifies this position as Division II Range I.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must be available to work between 1015 hours per week during the semester including some evenings and weekends as necessary and must create and maintain a consistent work schedule by the first week of each semester. They must also attend staff meetings and events as needed.

This position requires a functional understanding of web standards and digital media principles. Students should also have experience in Mac and PC-based design software including the Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Forms WordPress and ClickUp. Students should demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organization and be able to work efficiently in a team environment under firm deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to students who have completed at least two semesters of a related major. However any student with a passion to learn the position is welcome to apply.

Additional preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP.

Education

The Web Coordinator must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
