ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: We are seeking several undergraduate and graduate students to support research involving autonomous systems robotics and manufacturing systems under the supervision of Dr. Yunsheng Wang. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are willing to research learn and mentor to join our team. The Funding is from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the CREST grant.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
Develop and test autonomous and robotic systems.
Work with sensors computing platforms and robotic hardware.
Develop software for autonomous systems and robotics applications.
Build and test simulation environments for autonomous and robotic systems.
Conduct experiments and collect and analyze experimental data.
Evaluate system performance reliability and safety.
Assist with research demonstrations documentation and presentations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Coursework or experience in autonomous systems robotics manufacturing systems or related areas.
Programming experience in Python or C.
Familiarity with ROS/ROS 2 or robotics simulation tools.
Experience with sensors embedded computing platforms or robotic hardware.
Interest in autonomous systems robotics and hands-on research.
