This recruitment will be used to fill four part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Program Assistant for the OSU Athletics Facilities and Events at Oregon State University (OSU).
This position is for a student to assist the Events and Facility Operations team members with the preparation and execution of assigned tasks for home sporting events and outside rentals. Projects include working directly with the Event Manager of assigned OSU Athletics sporting events while leading a group of your peers. Communicating with outside groups throughout the rental process setting up event contracts conducting walkthroughs and being the day of contact for selected external events. This position will be responsible for creating event layouts and working with outside vendors during event rentals.
Position Duties
Serve as point of contact for selected external events.
Conduct walkthroughs of the space with clients and potential groups
Assist in the set-up execution and break of outside events
Oversees scheduling of event student operations staff for setup and breakdown
Communicates with other athletic department units during contract execution and design
Serves as Secondary Event Manager under the guidance of Full-time staff member

Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered full-time by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by theOffice of International Services(OIS) and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
