The Fowler School of Law ( FSOL ) Student Media Assistant supports the Marketing and Media Manager and broader Media Team assisting with the day-to-day management of FSOLs Social Media Media Production Content Management and other school publicity publications aimed at social media website media and print and digital media products. This role is approved to work up to 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Marketing Assist with creating editing managing and publishing media copy and messaging for social media publications on Facebook Instagram LinkedIn Twitter the FSOL blog display screens email and/or other messaging platforms and campaigns. Assist with writing social media messaging for the school while working within the school and universitys brand guides style guides and messaging maps. Work with a variety of social media dashboards to ensure timely coordination planning and publication of media and messaging for FSOLs social media campaigns. Monitor social media platforms posts and comment sections providing the media team with timely feedback regarding the performance conversation performance and tone of social posts and audience engagement. Gather social media metrics from dashboards and add them to spreadsheets to track media campaign performance as well as scrape leads and compile lead data into spreadsheets for distribution. Work with the media team to develop campaigns and messaging for- and around- various school events symposia display boards blogs and email campaigns and events. Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Great communicator with strong oral expression and writing skills. Adaptable and able to learn Chapman University style guides and AP-style copywriting. Ability to learn and adhere to university brand standards and marketing practices. Ability to manage competing deadlines excellent time management and project management skills and a history of meeting deadlinesi.e. You feel confident about juggling the requirements of your degree with this additional workload and commitment. Ability to relate to and work with any and all members of our diverse campus community. Ability to work a flexible schedule including attending after-hours and weekend events and functions for FSOL .
