JOB TITLE- Student Custodial Worker

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION- Support the maintainance of cleaning the school location and upholding a hygenic and sanitized environment to ensure safety of educational staff and students.

QUALIFICATIONS-

Skills Knowledge and Abilities

1. Knowledge of effective and efficient cleaning procedures.
2. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
3. Knowledge of basic district custodial operations.
4. Knowledge of the fire drill regulations and procedures.
5. Knowledge of emergency procedures and problem solving.
6. Ability to follow written and visual instructions.
7. Ability to relate effectively with otherstudents faculty parents and other staff members.
8. Ability to use technology effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

1. Clean designated area per the assigned schedule.
2. Provide support in ongoing maintenance.
3. Maintain a positive rapport with students staff parents and the community.
4. Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.
5. Maintain confidentiality.
6. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION OF OTHERS-

1. None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-

1. Repetitious bending lifting and hand movement.
2. Ability to climb stairs ladders and work overhead.
3. Ability to work standing and moving for long periods of tiem.
4. Ability to work an irregular schedule.
5. Drug tobacco and alcohol-free while working.
6. Must be able to see and hear within normal limits with or without corrective lenses or hearing aids.
7. Ability to operate a motor vehicle used to travel between sites.

WORKING CONDITIONS-

1. Ability to work inextreme and/or inclement weather.
2. Occasional exposure to body fluids fumes noise hazardous materials and emergency situations.
3. Occupational hazards which might include the possibility of being exposed to noise dust burns from chemicals and possible strains from improper lifting.
