Who are we looking for

Under the direction of the Resident Engineer the Structures Representative provides field and office engineeringsupport for roadway and developer construction projects involving bridges buildings walls barriers drainage structures sign structures and appurtenances. Therole ensures that contractorsconstruct structural elements in compliance with the Standard Plans Standard Specifications contract plans and Special Provisions.

Responsibilities

• Provides independent analysis of technical submittals relating to shoring falsework and other structural elements as needed

• Responsible for the technical and administrative control of the structure elements of a locally administered project

• Administers the documentation of a construction contracts structural work

• Reviews change orders submittals shop drawings and materials testing. Provide input and direction regarding all aspects of the construction project.

• Performs inspection and engineering support for variety of structure construction engineering projects

• Work in conjunction with field inspectors and project team members to ensure project goals are being met

• Administers projects in the absence of Resident Engineer

• Monitors and reviews contractors construction schedules

• Prepares and files daily construction reports diaries & other project documents

• Verifies acceptability of material incorporated into the project and maintains material and inspection records

• Coordinates with contractors and agencies about different tasks and projects

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering geology environmental science or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience with solid technical knowledge and skills associated with structures and building construction.
• CA Registered Engineer

Salary Range : $122000-$204000 based on experience
