Structures Execution Manager

Inc. is pleased to announce a career opportunity for a Structures Execution Manager on the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir in Palm Beach County Florida. This project marks the largest contract in the Jacksonville Districts history. Thalle will oversee the construction of a 17.75-mile embankment dam and associated structures. Job Title: Structures Execution Manager

Salary: Competitive compensation package based on experience.

Overview:

The Structures Execution Manager is responsible for the day-to-day planning coordination and execution of structure construction and subcontractor activities. Reporting to the Structures Project Manager within the Structures and Gap Closures Department the position connects Project Management with Field Operations to ensure contract requirements schedules priorities and approved plans are effectively position manages structure-specific priorities subcontractor performance resources access inspections and field interfaces while operations retains direct supervision of Thalle personnel equipment and self-perform work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day execution of assigned structure scope from construction readiness through testing turnover and acceptance.
• Develop structure-specific execution plans work packages look-aheads and sequencing recommendations.
• Confirm required access preceding work materials equipment survey controls approved submittals and inspections are in place before work begins.
• Coordinate interfaces between structural concrete earthwork cofferdams dewatering sheet piling gates embedded metals electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment.
• Identify execution constraints and develop practical resolution or recovery recommendations for the Structures Project Manager.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and structure-specific commitments.

Subcontractor Management

• Serve as the primary day-to-day management contact for structure subcontractors.
• Coordinate subcontractor mobilization manpower equipment deliveries work fronts and sequencing.
• Monitor subcontractor performance productivity quality schedule compliance and contractual deliverables.
• Lead structure coordination meetings and maintain action-item and commitment tracking.
• Identify scope gaps overlaps potential changes and performance concerns before they impact progress.
• Obtain recovery plans and corrective actions when subcontractor performance falls behind requirements.
• Verify subcontractor work complies with approved scope drawings specifications submittals and project direction.
• Provide the Structures Project Manager with information needed for subcontract notices change management and commercial decisions.

Field-to-Office Integration

• Maintain clear communication between field conditions and the Structures Project Manager and Project Engineers.
• Provide accurate field information photographs sketches measurements and supporting documentation for RFIs submittals field changes and technical issue resolution.
• Review contract drawings specifications shop drawings RFIs and submittals for practical field application.
• Identify field conflicts omissions constructability concerns and potential nonconforming work and promptly escalate them to QC and the Structures Project Manager.
• Ensure approved changes and technical decisions are communicated to affected field personnel and subcontractors before implementation.
• Prevent unapproved field changes or informal direction from being incorporated into the work.

Operations Coordination

• Communicate structure priorities work fronts access needs and schedule requirements to the Operations Supervisor.
• Coordinate Thalle labor equipment and self-perform support requirements through Operations.
• Coordinate logistics excavation hauling lifting dewatering temporary work and site interfaces required to support structure execution.
• Coordinate structure subcontractor activities with surrounding project operations to minimize interference and schedule disruption.
• Escalate unresolved resource or priority conflicts to the Structures Project Manager and Operations leadership.

Quality Safety & Inspection Coordination

• Coordinate preparatory initial and follow-up phase requirements with QC and subcontractors.
• Confirm required inspections hold points witness points testing and survey activities are scheduled before work is covered or subsequent work proceeds.
• Support QC by providing access approved documents subcontractor coordination and accurate field information.
• Coordinate corrective work and closeout actions following QC or Engineering disposition.
• Coordinate work planning with Safety and Operations to ensure approved AHAs competent-person requirements lift plans and access controls are in place.

Reporting & Project Controls

• Provide accurate daily and weekly updates to the Structures Project Manager on progress quantities manpower equipment schedule work fronts constraints inspections materials
• RFIs changes safety quality and project risks.
• Maintain structure action items constraint logs delivery commitments and subcontractor recovery items.
• Verify reported progress against field conditions and installed quantities.
• Participate in schedule updates look-ahead planning progress meetings and subcontractor performance reviews.
• Provide photographs marked-up drawings and concise records to support project decisions and contractual documentation.

Completion & Turnover

• Coordinate punch-list completion corrective work testing commissioning and turnover requirements.
• Confirm subcontractor closeout documents inspection records as-builts O&M information and outstanding submittals are complete.
• Coordinate the transition from structural construction through equipment installation operational testing and release for project operations.
• Maintain ownership of unresolved structure interfaces through final disposition or formal transfer to the responsible party.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5 years of relevant experience on heavy civil projects.
• Demonstrated experience working with soil cement construction and/or soil cement field operations.
• Primavera CPM scheduling or similar and CAD knowledge.
• Ability to work with a fast-paced team in an aggressive construction environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working on USACE projects.
• Experience supervising operations teams is a plus.
• Strong capabilities to multitask work independently under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Background check and drug testing.
• Prior heavy civil site project experience such as water control levee concrete and mass excavation experience are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
