Job Title: SuperintendentEmployer: Balfour Beatty Infrastructure to: Construction Manager/Project ManagerPosition SummaryThe Superintendent provides onsite leadership and supervision for all construction activities ensuring projects are completed safely on schedule within budget and according to quality standards. This role coordinates crews subcontractors equipment materials and project stakeholders while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and project :Manage daily construction operations and field multiple crews subcontractors and equipment and maintain short-term and long-term construction work is performed according to project plans specifications and contract productivity and implement corrective actions when company and OSHA safety in site and crew safety meetings Perform weekly jobsite EHS and mitigate potential the investigation of incidents and implement corrective a strong safety culture among all employees and foremen operators laborers and manpower requirements to meet production and develop field performance evaluations and provide ControlEnsure work meets project specifications and quality inspections and testing completed work and address deficiencies accurate project documentation and and Material ManagementCoordinate equipment utilization and material deliveries and proper allocation of resources to maximize equipment productivity and fuel and Stakeholder CoordinationInterface with owners engineers inspectors and utility project meetings and progress field conflicts and constructability project status to Project Managers and senior Education/Skills and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED or bachelors degree in construction management Civil Engineering or related field 8-15 years of heavy civil construction experience.5 years in a supervisory or superintendent experience managing: Highway and roadway constructionMass earthwork operationsUnderground utilitiesBridge constructionMarine constructionConcrete structuresTechnical KnowledgeAbility to read and interpret: Construction drawingsSpecificationsSurvey layoutsProject schedulesKnowledge of: OSHA regulationsDOT requirementsQuality control proceduresCPM schedulingExcavation and trenching practicesSkillsStrong leadership and team management communication and conflict resolution planning and organizational with construction management awareness and production tracking QualificationsOSHA 30 Aid/CPR Superintendent with GPS machine control and drone managing projects exceeding $10 with Primavera P6 Procore HCSS Bluebeam and Microsoft RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather walking on uneven terrain and active construction to climb ladders access structures and inspect work of working extended hours weekends and occasional night shifts as UsBalfour Beatty US is an industry-leading provider of general contracting at-risk construction management and design-build services for public and private sector clients across the nation.
