Seeking a Structural Project Engineer for a leading Engineering Firm in the Akron Ohio area. This is a dynamic role blending Construction Financial Management Field Engineering and Structural Design Interpretation.

Seeking a Structural Project Engineer for a leading Engineering Firm in the Akron Ohio area. This is a dynamic role blending Construction Financial Management Field Engineering and Structural Design Interpretation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Stewardship: Monitor and forecast project costs; manage force accounts monthly pay applications and subcontractor purchase orders.
- Operational Leadership: Review and approve craft timecards and cost codes; generate weekly man-hour reports to ensure project efficiency.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain RFI logs submittal schedules and As-Built drawings. Ensure all shop drawings align with project specifications.
- Field Coordination: Conduct weekly site inspections capture progress photography and verify work-in-place quantities for accurate invoicing.
- Safety & Compliance: Facilitate Toolbox Talks and safety investigations.
- Ensure all work meets local/federal codes and DBE compliance status.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Direct correspondence between Architects Owners and Subcontractors to resolve changing contract conditions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering Construction Management or Construction Engineering Technology.
- Technical Literacy: Mastery of construction plans/specs and proficiency in project management software (Procore Primavera or similar).
- Financial Acumen: Proven ability to perform accurate material takeoffs and cost analysis.
- Soft Skills: High-level organizational skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Licensure: EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
