Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations for commercial and institutional building projects.

  • Design structural systems utilizing steel reinforced concrete wood and masonry.

  • Prepare structural construction drawings specifications and engineering documentation.

  • Review and interpret structural calculations drawings and design documents.

  • Conduct field observations and construction site inspections involving steel concrete masonry and wood structural systems.

  • Prepare clear concise and technically accurate engineering reports.

  • Coordinate with architects project managers contractors owners and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Engineers-in-Training (EITs).

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes industry standards and engineering best practices.

  • Support project planning quality assurance and successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis or related discipline.

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Structural Analysis

    • Steel Design

    • Reinforced Concrete Design

    • Wood Design

    • Masonry Design

    • Mechanics of Materials

  • Ability to prepare and review structural calculations engineering reports and construction documents.

  • Strong communication organizational and collaboration skills.

Preferred Technical Skills:

Experience with one or more of the following software:

  • Revit

  • RAM Structural System

  • RISA

  • Enercalc

Preferred Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

  • Experience designing commercial and/or institutional buildings.

  • Strong background in structural analysis and building design.

  • Hands-on experience using Revit RAM Structural System RISA and Enercalc.

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

  • Stable employment history with progressive engineering responsibilities.

  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
