Job Summary
Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations for commercial and institutional building projects.
Design structural systems utilizing steel reinforced concrete wood and masonry.
Prepare structural construction drawings specifications and engineering documentation.
Review and interpret structural calculations drawings and design documents.
Conduct field observations and construction site inspections involving steel concrete masonry and wood structural systems.
Prepare clear concise and technically accurate engineering reports.
Coordinate with architects project managers contractors owners and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Engineers-in-Training (EITs).
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes industry standards and engineering best practices.
Support project planning quality assurance and successful project delivery.
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis or related discipline.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Strong knowledge of:
Structural Analysis
Steel Design
Reinforced Concrete Design
Wood Design
Masonry Design
Mechanics of Materials
Ability to prepare and review structural calculations engineering reports and construction documents.
Strong communication organizational and collaboration skills.
Experience with one or more of the following software:
Revit
RAM Structural System
RISA
Enercalc
The ideal candidate will possess:
Active Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Experience designing commercial and/or institutional buildings.
Strong background in structural analysis and building design.
Hands-on experience using Revit RAM Structural System RISA and Enercalc.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Stable employment history with progressive engineering responsibilities.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
