Main Purpose of Job
This position functions as the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Coordinator administering medical countermeasure dispensing and distribution plans and assisting the Public Health Emergency Planner with allhazards public health preparedness activities and overall program operations. This position serves as the lead for the FCHD Public Health Response Team. This position also provides oversight and coordination of the MD Responds Medical Reserve Corps for Frederick County and represents the Public Health Preparedness Office in State and Regional Healthcare Coalition activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess the following:
  • Experience in development and delivery of training
  • Experience with project management to operationalize plans policies and procedures
  • Experience with technical writing and reviewing technical documents
  • Professional experience in emergency management public safety or in the healthcare field
