Job Summary
The Shift Leader or Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing an efficient workflow and assisting the Store Manager in a variety of store operations duties. This position serves as a role model of barista responsibilities and serves as the team leader when the Store Manager is unavailable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques resolving customer relations issues and leading the team in delivering the Scooters Amazing customer service experience
- Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm managing an efficient team workflow anticipating customer needs and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush
- Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members
- Develop effective working relationships with team members identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear constructive feedback to reinforce/improve performance
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales
- Understand and execute cash handling point of sale system and operational procedures in an accurate consistent manner
- Ensure team members follow all health safety and sanitation guidelines
- Serve as a keyholder following all opening and closing procedures
- Demonstrate punctuality dependability and adaptability
- Assist Store Manager with administrative duties as requested
