About the Role We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technologist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Clarkston Washington. This role supports the Sterile Processing and Supply department and is responsible for cleaning assembling sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments and procedural trays.
Responsibilities
Clean assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and procedural trays.
Operate sterile processing equipment including washers and autoclaves.
Inspect instruments to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Document missing instruments according to standard procedures.
Record sterilizer test results and maintain accurate load records.
Operate and maintain steam autoclaves and related equipment.
Communicate effectively with operating room personnel and department staff.
Keep work areas clean organized and compliant with safety standards.
Support department workflow and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Active CRCST certification required.
BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience required.
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and power equipment required.
Experience with sterile processing equipment required.
Meditech experience preferred.
Schedule flexibility required.
Holiday coverage may be required.
Strong communication and attention to detail required.
