Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a night shift assignment at a short-term acute care facility in Portland Oregon. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures instrumentation handling and infection prevention standards in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Candidates with experience using SPM systems and robotic instrumentation are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform decontamination cleaning sterilization and assembly of surgical instruments and medical equipment
Inspect instruments and trays for cleanliness functionality and completeness
Prepare and distribute sterile supplies for surgical and procedural areas
Operate sterilization equipment according to hospital and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate documentation within Epic and department tracking systems
Follow infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with surgical services and clinical teams to support procedural needs
Strong understanding of sterilization standards and infection control practices
Ability to work independently on night shift
Excellent organizational and communication skills
