How youll contribute:

Performs a variety of duties to support the nursing administration and behavioral health technicians in our forensics unit. Reviews staffing needs on a daily basis calculating staffing requirements based on flexible staffing patterns patient acuity and maintaining record of reports. Supervises Patient Sitters.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Reviews staffing levels to actively resolve staffing shortages using flexible staffing plan as guidelines for staffing requirements.
  • In timely manner informs appropriate Director when staffing issues are anticipated and/or occur.
  • Determines coordinates and supervises staffing assignments for patient sitters.
  • Provides recruitment direction orientation training coaching and mentoring to Patient Sitters. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
  • Composes types and transcribes correspondence forms reports presentation materials and other written communications.
  • Receives screens and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to escalates and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
  • Schedules/coordinates meetings conferences special events and appointments.
  • Maintains assigned calendar(s).
  • Maintains files and office equipment.
  • Orders and stocks supplies.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Associate degree - Preferred
