What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is looking for a Process Engineer to help us expand our industrial wastewater management practice. You will have an opportunity to contribute to our Industrial Wastewater Management team help us pursue our growth goals and provide our customers with responsive high-quality customer service. We would like you based out of Virginia Beach VA.
How you can make an impact
- Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific
- Prepares and reviews engineering calculations drawings reports and permit applications.
- Assist in projects and personnel as necessary to meet both client and SCS expectations.
- Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods plans and coordinates work and represents the company at meetings and conferences.
- Field work in varied terrain and weather may be required including but not limited to surveys/data gathering construction quality assurance inspections system commissioning and startup etc.
- Office based tasks including but not limited to: designing treatment systems preparation of project drawings such as PFDs and P&IDS CAD drafting mathematical calculations report writing creating site plans and facility diagrams permit applications etc.
- Business development including but not limited to: proposal preparation meeting with clients and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows.
- Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or any other related engineering discipline is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of process engineering experience required.
- Technical experience in the design of wastewater treatment systems equipment sizing piping design and process controls as well as report preparation permit coordination and construction phase services is preferred.
- E.I.T. strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Microsoft Office and current engineering design software.
- Valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing required.
Pay Range
USD $78000.00 - USD $85000.00 /Yr.
