DESCRIPTION

Join the Biosciences Division (BID) team in Eugene OR where youll advance manufacturing excellence and contribute to impactful solutions. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.

As a Staff Manufacturing Engineer youll provide the following:

  • Perform maintenance trouble shooting and continuous improvement activities for equipment automation
  • Technical leadership for complex manufacturing processes
  • Collaboration across multiple functions to enhance production efficiency ensure product quality and implement advanced technologies
  • Site technical leadership for larger capital projects in partnership with divisional project management and validation resources

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced Degree plus 4 years of experience or Bachelors Degree plus 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in regulated industries (pharmaceutical medical device or biotechnology preferred)
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Chemical Industrial or related field)
  • Working knowledge of automation systems PLC-based controls and control system architecture sufficient to troubleshoot equipment and work with suppliers or controls specialists
  • Strong project management experience leading equipment improvements modifications productivity projects and small capital equipment projects
  • Experience developing and executing validation protocols and documentation for equipment and process changes in regulated environments
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment
  • Up to 10% travel may be required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct PLC or HMI programming and controls-system commissioning experience
  • Expertise in CAD software CMMS systems such as Ultimo and relevant engineering software packages
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Agile Scrum or gated engineering project frameworks
  • Experience leading complex capital equipment or facility projects
  • Project management and validation leadership for equipment improvements modifications productivity initiatives and small capital projects
  • Professional Engineering designation or relevant certifications
