Staff Development Coordinator RN Aston Park
$10000 Sign on Bonus (paid out in increments over 2 years of employment)

Aston Park is seeking a full-time Staff Development Coordinator RN to support staff education training compliance quality improvement and safe facility operations. This role offers a MondayFriday (with on-call rotation) schedule with an annual pay range of $90000$92000 based on experience.

Benefits begin after 30 days and include insurance coverage and paid time off. Team members who opt out of benefits receive an additional $2.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

The Staff Development Coordinator works in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as Lutheran Services Carolinas guidelines to support staff development education compliance and continuous quality improvement.

Training and Staff Development
  • Maintain the monthly required in-service calendar and assign online or supplemental training as needed.
  • Lead orientation for new staff complete skills assessments and recommend additional training when appropriate.
  • Coordinate education and training for the electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain staff education records and notify supervisors when requirements have not been met.
  • Assess facility-wide training needs develop programs with department managers and support individual staff development.
  • Provide targeted coaching for staff who need improvement or additional support.
  • Evaluate training programs using staff feedback and recommend updates as needed.
  • Bring in outside consultants and community resources to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Train staff on new and updated policies and procedures.
Quality Improvement and Compliance
  • Collect quality assurance data and assist with QAPI coordination under administrative direction.
  • Attend QAPI meetings review data identify opportunities for improvement and help implement solutions.
  • Represent LSCs mission vision values and service standards in daily interactions.
  • Complete other duties necessary to support effective facility operations.
Infection Prevention and Facility Support
  • Support infection prevention efforts as directed including maintaining infection control programs tracking infections assisting with investigations and overseeing vaccination campaigns.
  • Ensure Hepatitis B vaccines are offered maintain related documentation and verify TB clearance for new employees.
  • Oversee drug testing for new hires and coordinate random screenings.
  • Confirm required CPR training for personnel.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not routinely include direct supervision except when serving as nursing supervisor or charge nurse.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications
  • North Carolina RN License
  • Eligibility for CPR and medication aide instructor certification.
  • Prior experience in geriatric nursing teaching or supervision.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
