Note: Candidates must hold an active CPA license have 2 years of public accounting experience and have hands-on experience preparing both individual and business income tax returns. This is a fully on-site opportunity in Beaufort SC.

Job Description

• Prepare and review individual and business income tax returns including Forms-S and 1120.
• Partner directly with clients to understand their financial needs and identify valuable tax planning opportunities.
• Review monthly financial statements account reconciliations and general ledger activity to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with financial statement reviews compilations and ongoing accounting engagements.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and tax professionals to deliver timely high-quality client service.
• Help improve accounting processes manage deadlines and support junior team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license preferably in South Carolina or readily transferable.
• 2 years of public accounting experience.
• Experience preparing both individual and business income tax returns.
• Strong general accounting knowledge including financial statements journal entries and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with clients.
• Experience with tax planning multistate returns reviews or compilations is a plus.
