Staff BESS Electrical Engineer
100% onsite in either Sparks NV or San Francisco CA
- This person will help design the electrical systems used for large battery energy storage projects.
- The role covers both the AC and DC sides of the system including transformers inverters switchgear single-line diagrams grounding protection power studies and utility interconnection.
The main requirements are:
- 5 years of experience in solar energy storage microgrids or renewable energy
- 3 years specifically working on BESS design and deployment
- Hands-on electrical design experience for AC/DC and medium-voltage systems
- Experience performing power system studies using ETAP SKM EasyPower or a similar tool
Please focus on candidates who have personally designed large BESS renewable energy utility or heavy-industrial projects.
A PE license is preferred.
Candidates must be able to obtain PE licenses within 2 months of starting.
