Staff Accountant

Purpose of the Job

Youll play a key role in delivering accurate accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of private funds. Youll work closely with clients auditors and internal teams to ensure reporting deadlines are met and services are delivered to the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for assigned funds including journal entries general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare capital call and distribution notices partner allocations and investor reporting including capital account statements and performance metrics.
• Produce financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with US GAAP.
• Develop a strong understanding of fund structures transactions and reporting requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients investors auditors and other professional advisers responding to queries and supporting reporting and audit processes.
• Ensure regulatory statutory and client reporting requirements are met while adhering to internal policies procedures and industry best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements operational efficiency initiatives and the enhancement of internal controls.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA qualification and/or Masters degree is advantageous but not required.
• Previous experience in fund accounting finance or a similar accounting role is preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP is desirable.

• Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to apply accounting principles in a practical and commercial way.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong overall proficiency with financial systems and technology.
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Professional adaptable and committed to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality service.
