Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks a grasp of accounting fundamentals and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks
- Record and reconcile daily transactions including sales purchases receipts and payments
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll and ensure timely tax filings
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Communicate updates to management
- Coordinate with external accountants for audits and tax preparation
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal financial regulations
Qualifications
- 2 years of accounting experience construction industry preferred
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
- QuickBooks experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
$50000 - $65000 a year
