Mem Global islooking for a detail-oriented curious and motivatedStaff Accountantto join ourfinance position willsupport thefinancedepartment by executing day-to-day accounting operations with accuracy timeliness and attention to detail. Working closely with the Senior Staff Accountant and Controller this rolemaintainsfinancial records prepares routine accounting transactions supports month-end close activities and contributes to efficient well-documented accounting operations while developing technical accounting knowledge and professional skills.

- In your work youll be primarily responsible for:
- Processing vendor invoices accurately and timely using and Sage Intacct.
- Creating and maintainingvendor records across multiple accounting and banking systems.
- Preparing ACH check and wire payments for review and approval.
- Supporting domestic and international payment processes.
- Coordinating vendor onboarding by communicating with vendors and internal program teams sending invitations collecting banking information andmaintaining vendor records.
- Assisting withaccounts receivable activities including customer billing invoices statements and related schedules.
- Supporting month-end close by preparing reconciliations supporting schedules and other accounting documentation.
- Reviewing employee expense reports and corporate card transactions for coding accuracy completeness and policy compliance.
- Maintaining organized accounting records and supporting documentation for audits and internal reporting.
- Supporting annual 1099 preparation and vendor maintenance.
- Providing timely professional and courteous support to employees vendors hosts residents and program staffregarding routine accounting questions payment-related inquiries and vendor onboarding.
- Participating inprocess improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to improve efficiency within assigned responsibilities.
- Performing other accounting administrative and operational duties as assigned in support of Finance Departmentobjectives.
- You havea bachelors degreeideally in Accounting Finance Business Economics or another analytical field.Candidates from other academic backgrounds whodemonstratestrong analytical ability and a genuine interest in pursuing an accounting career are also encouraged to apply.Four years ofadditionalrelated professional experience may be substituted forthebachelorsdegree.
- You have at least three years of full-time professional work experience. If you have a different amount of experience lets talk!
- Youvecompleted an internship or hadapreviousexperience in accounting finance bookkeeping banking operations payroll or administrative support.
- You have prior experienceusing accounting or ERP software such as Sage Intacct QuickBooks NetSuite or similar systems.
- You have experiencewith Ramp or other AP automation platforms.
- You have experienceworking with Excel spreadsheets including formulas lookups or data organization.
- Progress towards a CPA or other professional certification is aplus butnot.
- Familiaritywith nonprofit organizations or nonprofit accounting ishelpful butnot.
- You have eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

TheStaff Accountantisa full-time year-round position and requires weekday hours.The position is supervised by theController and worksout of our hub office in Chicago IL.
In our U.S. Hub Offices our team works a hybrid schedule where employees can choose to work remotely 2 days per week and collaborate in-person with coworkers the rest of the week with Wednesdaydesignatedas a shared in-office day for connection and collaboration.

The starting salary range for this full-time exempt position is:
- Chicago Hub Office: $60000 - $68000
- Your specific salary within these ranges will take into consideration education experience and location.
