Job Summary
As a Senior Vendor Manager you will be accountable for business results across the vendors and categories you manage. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing vendor relationships negotiating terms and contracts expanding product selection setting prices setting inventory forecasts developing marketing programs driving sales and margin improvements and creating a best-in-class customer experiences.
The successful candidate will be able to take their broad skill-set and experience across multiple facets of retail to drive a successful business. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business innovate and overcome hurdles and achieve profitable long-term growth. They will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities
Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets by executing annual and ongoing vendor negotiations.
Have a thorough understanding of the industry business trends events and continually monitor both industry and competitor developments.
Maximize Amazons business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities.
Have an understanding of customer needs and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of improvements that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.
Build vendor/brand relationships - be the primary point of contact for vendor selection on-boarding escalations and negotiations.
Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders all while meeting tight deadlines.
Have a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business. This includes owning forecasting analyzing understanding and reporting on the business.
- 5 years of account management project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
