Disney Parks Experiences and Products is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building world-class products and enabling our businesses to be future ready. We are looking for an engineer who has full stack programming experience and is enthusiastic to build and maintain new applications improving our Guest and Cast experiences.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Design and implement reliable high-throughput low latency scalable and well-documented code to tackle sophisticated algorithms

• Collaborate with engineers product owners and other partners to propose extensible reusable and performant solutions

• Proactively seek opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and implementations

• Experiment develop proof of concept with relevant new technologies

• Conduct code review pull-requests with consistent scrutiny

• Able to work independently to analyze andsolveissues as an individualcontributor

• Troubleshoot fix problems reported in lower and production environments

• Write unit and component tests to ensure delivery of high quality code

• Monitor and proactively improve production run quality of applications

• Work in a scrum team and provide your daily updates

• Estimate effort for assigned development tasks assist in estimating level of effort for less senior level developers

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5 Years ofsoftware engineering analysis and design with full software development lifecycle experience.

• Java Spring Framework SQL (AroraDB) and NoSQL-based databases (MongoDB) writing complex SQL queries and building highly scalable and highly performant distributed applications and web services experience.

• Exposure to GraphQL / Graph DBs

• 5 years Internet technologies microservices architectures experience.

• 5 Developing cloud native applications preferably in AWS experience

• Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular (8.2.13)/ ReactJS

• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools

• Demonstrated strong analytical skills.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming with an understanding of design principles

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the commerce space and products / pricing / inventory domains

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in computer science or similar field or related equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Orlando FL is $135200 - $181200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region job-related knowledge skills and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to the full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the level and position offered.
