- Position Description
The Sr. Regional Manager of Recreation and Programs is a key member of the Operations Department responsible for overseeing recreation and program initiatives across multiple community centers within an assigned region. This position carries broader strategic responsibility with a focus on managing complex partnerships and implementing critical projects. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Recreation and Programs this role sets strategic goals ensures annual program outcomes and outputs are met and maintains compliance with all applicable laws governing youth adult and senior programming. The Sr. Regional Manager fosters a culture of excellence collaboration and innovation to deliver high-quality services to the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise Community Center Managers within their scope of work.
Develop and implement strategic operational plans for short-term and long-term goals within assigned areas.
Recruit engage and secure partnerships that enhance the direct services primarily at the Alief Community Center.
Work with Community Center staff and leadership to set program performance measures.
Maintain and report meticulous data to demonstrate program performance and evaluate progress.
Oversee regional operational budgets and monitor expenditures for fiscal responsibility.
Provide coaching technical expertise and guidance to staff; address escalated issues effectively.
Prepare reports and presentations on departmental programs projects services and initiatives.
Manage and strengthen relationships with external partners to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Review and update operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency effectiveness and compliance.
Perform personnel functions including recruitment training development and performance evaluations.
Lead and motivate staff to achieve organizational objectives and maintain a positive work culture.
Lead in planning large-scale events with the support of Community Center staff.
Serve as a backup to the Senior Director as needed.
Serve as a backup to Community Center Managers when necessary to ensure continuity of operations.
Drive project implementation for strategic initiatives maintaining alignment with organizational goals and operational priorities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelors degree in Education Public Health Social Work Communication Public Administration or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a management or leadership role.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated success in managing developing and retaining team members.
Experience in budget management and grant compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel).
Licensure:
Valid Texas drivers license with a clean driving record.

- Preferences
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Experience with grant writing and reporting.
Familiarity with community engagement strategies and event planning.
Experience in large-scale operations management is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Ability to organize prioritize and coordinate multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and reasoning abilities.
Working knowledge of best practices theories and policies related to recreation and program management.
Proven leadership and managerial skills especially in leading diverse teams.
Ability to foster a positive healthy and inclusive work environment.
