Job Summary

Amazon Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses schools hospitals and government agencies Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager Tech to own the roadmap and end-to-end delivery for Leos critical product experience validation team within Amazon LEO. You will be the single-threaded owner for subject matter expertise in one or more specific areas (e.g. Finance Accounting Tax) of Amazon LEOs eCommerce experience. You work backwards from customer needs to ensure LEOs product experience meets the cross-functional capabilities at launch and contribute to Amazon Leos existing AI-powered Agentic UAT framework. You will work with engineering other product teams stakeholder teams (Finance Tax Accounting etc.) and operations teams to deliver your charter.
The products you own sit at the intersection of satellite telecommunications subscription commerce and global operations where customer expectations for simplicity collide with the technical complexity of delivering connectivity from space. You will thrive in this environment because you bring genuine product understanding paired with technical depth: you understand how customers think about payments subscriptions eCommerce and reverse logistics when they buy an internet service. You engage meaningfully in engineering discussions and you apply your product instinct to ensure that the product UAT team can test against product requirements without interpretation. You also influence the existing Agentic Product experience tooling used by the team.

You will work directly with Finance Legal Accounting Tax and Trade (FLATT) stakeholders to understand their requirements validate product direction and ensure that every roadmap decision is grounded in real-world need and not on internal assumption. You will author the burndown plans and review the UAT test cases that set the strategic direction of Amazon LEOs product experience and you will stay engaged through delivery to ensure what ships matches what was its current phase Amazon LEO demands someone who can hold both the customer-back strategic view and the technical trade-off conversations simultaneously.


Key job responsibilities
Own the product experience end-to-end. what LEO builds based on customer needs and technical feasibility. You develop subject matter expertise own the what and why and not just the backlog.
Drive product strategy across customer segments. Define and analyze subscription lifecycle models pricing and packaging strategies and appropriate KPIs for different customer segments whether consumer enterprise or government. Use data to validate assumptions refine positioning and inform prioritization.
Engage directly with customers and technical teams. Spend time with customers to understand how they experience connectivity challenges. Contribute meaningfully to engineering and business discussions around eCommerce workflows technology decisions system architecture and implementation trade-offs. Your product judgment improves because youre fluent in both the customer reality and the technical constraints.
Work backwards from customers with rigor and craft. Author business requirements that translate complex customer and market needs to transform product validation into agentic experiences. The bar is that your documents are the definitive source of truth clear enough to align executives specific enough to drive sprint planning and compelling enough to earn resourcing.
Lead executive-level prioritization and planning. Represent and advocate for diverse customer needs during leadership reviews. Present data-driven analysis frame strategic trade-offs and make clear recommendations. Every executive touchpoint should produce a decision not just awareness.
Drive cross-functional execution without ambiguity. Partner with engineering operations legal compliance marketing and business development to establish timelines define integration paradigms across multiple systems and drive launch readiness. You dont hand off requirements and hope you stay accountable through delivery.
Define success metrics that matter. Establish KPIs and SLAs that reflect genuine customer outcomes and business health not vanity metrics. Track adoption patterns analyze product-market fit signals and use insights to continuously refine strategy and prioritization. Report results to senior leadership with precision and context.

Export Control Requirement:

A day in the life
You start with a morning cadence call with your stakeholders to discuss the scope of a new workstream to validate the launch of Leo in a new country or new feature set. You use your knowledge and understanding of Leos systems and eCommerce capabilities to probe whether the feature product owners have defined complete and accurate test cases to validate features covering your functional area. You influence multiple product leaders to critically think about the feasibility and testability of their features.
Next you may meet with your FLATT stakeholders to unblock the validation team regarding a complex multi-feature test scenario and educate the stakeholder and learn about nuances of the product experience. Then you transition into a discussion with engineering on how a service feature should be tested across geographies. Later you could be authoring a working backwards document that introduces a new feature in the Amazon Leo Agentic UAT system. Youll collaborate across business development network engineering regulatory and operations teams navigating the unique challenge of building products where the network is in orbit the customers are global and the experience must feel as simple as flipping a switch.


- Bachelors degree
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- 5 years of technical product management experience owning delivery stakeholder management and product implementation
- Experience owning a product area in at least one of the following domain areas: Finance Tax or Accounting.
- Experience managing technical products or online services at scale

- MBA
- 5 years of developing negotiating and executing business agreements within the telecommunications sector experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services particularly within high-scale fixed wireless or satellite broadband services
- Experience defining subscription lifecycle models market strategies and KPIs for multi-segment products
- Experience using analytical tools and data analysis to surface product insights and inform strategic decisions
- Track record of authoring high-quality working backwards documents and business requirements documents that drove successful product launches

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
