Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior PeopleSoft Payroll Developer with deep expertise in PeopleSoft Payroll for North America Time & Labor and Absence Management. This role will support a large-scale PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 environment and play a key role in the Predictive Absence Management (PAM) initiative.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical developer who can quickly integrate into a highly experienced team work independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality solutions in a complex enterprise environment supporting large employee populations.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop customize enhance and support PeopleSoft HCM applications with primary focus on Payroll Time & Labor and Absence Management.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis design development testing deployment and production support.
Collaborate with business analysts functional leads and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Develop and support Predictive Absence Management (PAM) functionality leave accruals balance forecasting and absence management processes.
Create and maintain technical design documents specifications test plans and system documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues system defects and data inconsistencies.
Perform data analysis debugging root-cause analysis and performance tuning.
Support integrations data conversions and system enhancements while ensuring compliance with development standards and best practices.
Participate in production support and on-call rotations as required.
Required Qualifications
7 years of hands-on PeopleSoft HCM development experience.
Strong development experience with:
PeopleSoft Payroll for North America
Time & Labor
Absence Management
Extensive experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.x preferably version 9.2.
Strong experience with Predictive Absence Management (PAM) and leave management solutions.
Advanced proficiency in:
PeopleCode
Application Engine
SQL
PL/SQL
BI Publisher
Oracle Database
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise implementations with multiple business units and large employee populations.
Strong understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM data model and application architecture.
Proven ability to author technical specifications design documents and test plans.
Excellent analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Higher Education environments.
Experience with UCPath or large public-sector HR/Payroll systems.
