Sr. Oracle Developer

Sr. Oracle Developer (E-Business Suite) Richmond VA onsite 5 days per week.

Position Summary the Oracle E-Business Suite Financials Developer is responsible for the design development implementation and support of Oracle EBS Financial modules and related business processes. This position works closely with functional analysts business users and database administrators to enhance and maintain enterprise financial systems that support critical accounting and operational functions.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled Oracle developer with deep expertise in Financials (AP AR GL PO Inventory) and various interfaces who can translate business requirements into efficient scalable technical solutions within the EBS framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Design develop optimize and maintain customizations extensions and integrations for Oracle E-Business Suite Financial modules (primarily R12).
• Provide documentation on all system and process enhancements.
• Coordinate regular system updates with the Database Administrator and implement enhancements to meet operational requirements.
• Support and enhance core financial modules including Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable General Ledger Purchasing and Inventory and custom-built processes within the Oracle application.
• Work with business and functional teams to gather requirements document solutions and implement new functionality.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages procedures triggers functions and reports using Oracle development tools (TOAD Oracle Forms Oracle Reports BI Publisher).
• Troubleshoot debug and resolve application issues performance problems and data discrepancies.
• Support data migration and interface development activities including API calls Web Services and flat-file integrations.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices change management standards and IT governance policies.
• Collaborate with DBAs system administrators and infrastructure teams to maintain reliable high-performance environments.
• Participate in project planning testing deployment peer reviews and post-implementation support.
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7 years of hands-on development experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Financials.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL SQL Oracle Forms/Reports and BI Publisher.
• Strong functional understanding of Financials business processes (AP AR GL PO INV).
• Experience with leading large-scale system integration projects.
• Experience with EBS APIs OA Framework and Web ADI is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data migration interface design and integrations with external systems.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and provide technical solutions that meet both functional and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively the Financial business partners and across technical and functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or hybrid EBS-to-Cloud environments.
• Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Oracle Workflow.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps tools (Git Jenkins Jira etc.).
• Understanding of public sector or large enterprise financial operations.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar certification is a plus.
