Job Summary:

The Sr Operations Manager plans and directs all aspects of assigned Value Streams and is accountable for the assigned Value Streams performance and commitments to the customer with respect to safety qualitydeliveryandcost.The Sr Operations Manager works cooperatively with other functional leaders and managers tooptimizethe entire value stream in the eyes of the customer and is relentless in the pursuit of continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Continually leadstaff to ensure internal and external customer demands are met

  • Lead and facilitate the daily flash and Gemba walks with the site leadership team throughout the site

  • Directthe manufacturing of productsofthehighest qualityat thelowest possible cost

  • Work and manage cross-functionallytoexceed customer requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of the Crane Business System;Lead kaizen events;Communicate best practices within the Crane organization;Design develop and implement the kaizen roadmap;Trackteams achievement of Standard Work

  • Develop and hire a skilled technically proficient andmotivated customer-focused team

  • Sustain a safe workplace through the establishment and support of Company policy

  • Create and execute data driven action plans to improve standard work and performance

  • Clearly defineroles responsibilities and expectations and coach advise and encourage to build andmaintaina highly effective and cohesive team that functions smoothly

  • Inspiresubordinates to achieve excellence

  • Providejob-relevant learning developmental experiences and feedback toenhance individual performance

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience:10 years of experience in a manufacturing role focused on continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing;5years ofexperience managing a value stream or multiple value streams

  • Knowledge:Advanced/expert knowledge of continuous improvementincluding systems and tools;Strongbusinessacumen

  • Skills/Abilities:Demonstratedability to manage one or more Value Streams with cross-functional direct reporting (manufacture engineering supply chain facilities etc.);Strong customer orientation;Demonstratedadvanced/expert skills in employee development team building projectmanagementand communication (written and verbal)

  • Education/Certification:BA or BSdegree inEngineeringor related field

  • Eligibility Requirement:This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters level degree

  • AS9100/ AS9145/ TS16949

  • Lean/ Six Sigma Black Belt/ Shanin

Salary range: $172400- $208500. Several factors contribute to actual salary including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities skills training and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
