The Senior Planner D67 Toss/Throw role offers the opportunity to lead one of Decorative Homes most exciting and strategically important businesses. Toss/Throw is a critical growth driver for the division and serves as a style beacon setting trends and inspiring guests across Decorative Home. This role sits at the intersection of financial strategy product storytelling and operational excellence providing significant visibility and the ability to shape the future of the business.

A role in Planning means leading the financial strategy forecasting and inventory investment for one of Targets businesses. Youll partner across Merchandising and Supply Chain to translate data into actionable insights ensuring the right product is available to support guest demand while influencing key business decisions through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.

As a Senior Merchandise Planner youll lead in-season decision-making assortment planning and demand forecasting while partnering with cross-functional teams and vendors to execute the divisional strategy. Youll own the open-to-buy process evaluate category investments and conduct scenario planning to optimize assortments and inventory. Through analysis of forecast performance and supply and demand trends youll identify risks and opportunities inform chase-cancel decisions and provide recommendations that improve financial outcomes. Youll also lead initial set planning validate promotional forecasts support Pricing & Promotion Center of Excellence decisions and oversee event forecasting and end-of-season inventory strategies.

About you:

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• 610 years of relevant experience
• 4 years of Merchandising experience
• Strong strategic financial and analytical skills; can easily translate data from an array of sources into insights and recommendations
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams
• Flexible resilient and comfortable working in grey areas that are constantly changing
• Passion for building and growing trend-right businesses while balancing strategy with execution

This position will require in office presence Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday each week and can work from home on Fridays.
