Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
Gauge Lab Management
- Own and managebuilding 273 gauge lab operations. Initiate gauge tracking software improvements when identified. Integrate recall system for plant wide access.
- Act as Operations Leader for gauge lab employees across 2 shifts.
- Maintain calibrations and documentation for all measuring devices used in the Factory to NIST and ISO standards.
- Initiate delivery and track devices sent to outsourced calibration services.
Weld & Braze School Management
- Own and managebuilding 273 weld and braze school operations.
- Act as Operations Leader for weld and braze school employee on 1st shift.
- Maintain Factory EEs training and qualifications to applicable ASME standards.
- Perform internal audits of metal joining processes and analyze any Quality findings.
- Lead / support metal joining Quality issue RCA investigations.
Non-destructive Testing
- Serve as resident technical authority for all Factory non-destructive testing performed.
- Train and qualify Factory EEs to Level II for Liquid Penetrant Fluorescent Penetrant Magnetic Particle Ultrasonic Testing and Weld Visual Inspection.
- Perform internal audits of NDT practices and analyze any Quality findings.
- Perform UT testing on welded Rotors and provided summary analysis.
Audits & Problem Solving
- Conduct internal audits of Factory operations to annual GenSuite audit schedule.
- Support external 3rd party (LRQA) audits to ISO 9001 : 2015 and AS 9100 standards.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Team to resolve findings and complete action items.
- Drive systemic fixes to prevent recurrence and reduce defect rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely withManufacturing Engineering Materials and Logisticsteams to improve end-to-end quality.
- Maintain training and qualification records in conjunction with Factory capacity needs.
- Provide Quality input for non-conformance disposition based on special process results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferably in Engineering or Quality from an accredited university or collegeAND10-15 years of experience in large industrial Manufacturing segment
- Level II certification in at least 2 of the following NDT disciplines: (NDT LPI MPI UT)
- Analytical thinking and structured problem solving
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Customer-focused mindset (internal/external)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
Desired Characteristics
- Level III certification in NDT LPI MPI UT
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt).
- Experience in manufacturing environments (e.g. industrial energy aerospace automotive).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document plan market and execute program
