Sr. Manager, Strategic Supply Chain, Leo Inventory and Fulfillment Technology (LIFT)

Amazon Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses schools hospitals and government agencies Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

The LIFT (Leo Inventory and Fulfillment Technology) team is responsible for bringing Leos supply chain together from contract manufacturer to end customer and back. We determine the supply chain model for each country define the requirements that systems are built against plan inventory allocation sequence launches and make the Go/No-Go call before a region goes live.

This role leads the Global Inventory Operations and Operational Performance team within LIFT. You will own inventory requirement signals purchase order management in-stock performance and operational launch readiness across Leos global network (26 countries today scaling to 120). Your team defines what inventory must move where it must be positioned when it is required and the business priority of that movement.

A successful candidate will build and lead a regional operations team spanning multiple geographies and time zones. You will establish the operational mechanisms (WBR MBR provider governance escalation frameworks) that do not exist today. You will set measurable SLAs with execution providers build provider scorecards and drive corrective actions when performance misses targets. You will balance the urgency of active launches with the discipline of building durable processes that scale without linear headcount growth.

This is not a maintenance role. You are building a function from its early stage into a scaled operational engine. The team currently has 4 members across 3 regions with additional hires planned. You will inherit defined scope assignments and an approved charter then validate optimize and grow the team to support 120 countries and 5 active business programs.

Flexibility operational judgment and the ability to navigate ambiguity across partner teams (Device Global Logistics Field Service Providers Reverse Logistics Technical Program Management) will be essential. You will develop collaborative relationships while maintaining clear ownership boundaries and foster a culture of mechanisms over heroics.

Key job responsibilities
Build and lead a regional operations team responsible for inventory positioning in-stock performance provider governance and operational launch readiness across Leos global network.

Establish the teams operational mechanisms from scratch: Operations WBR monthly business reviews provider scorecards escalation frameworks and post-launch command center readiness.

Own inventory requirement signals end-to-end: translate demand from allocation models into purchase orders track receipt and placement monitor in-stock health and drive recovery when targets are missed.

Define and govern SLAs with execution providers (FSPs DGL ADRL). Build provider scorecards set escalation thresholds and drive corrective actions when performance misses commitments.

Deliver the LIFT operational Go/No-Go recommendation for every Beta GA and country launch. Remain accountable for operational readiness gaps within this teams charter.

Define and monitor operational KPIs: in-stock rate PO on-time receipt FSP inventory availability launch readiness completion and escalation resolution time. Drive continuous improvement through mechanisms not heroics.

Identify risks across active launches and scaling operations. Develop mitigation plans proactively particularly for markets where operational infrastructure is being established for the first time.

Develop collaborative relationships with internal partners (Forward Fulfillment Reverse Logistics Customer Solutions Inventory Science TPM Integration Architecture) to ensure this team operates as a seamless part of LIFTs broader operating model.

Foster a high-performance culture by hiring strong regional operators setting clear ownership expectations mentoring team members and ensuring alignment with LIFTs program-based operating model.

A day in the life
You review regional inventory health resolve escalations with execution providers and run the Operations WBR with your team. You deliver Go/No-Go recommendations for active launches work with DGL and FSP partners through structured mechanisms and coach regional leads on their markets. Your stakeholders include LIFTs Forward Fulfillment Reverse Logistics Inventory Science and TPM teams. Your customers are program leaders and leadership who depend on this team to confirm operational readiness before anything goes live.



About the team
The Leo Inventory and Fulfillment Technology (LIFT) team brings Leos supply chain together from contract manufacturer to end customer and back. We determine the supply chain model for each country and customer segment define the technical requirements that systems are built against plan inventory allocation sequence launches and make the Go/No-Go call before a region goes live.

LIFT is a multi-disciplinary team spanning product management inventory science planning and operations customer solutions reverse logistics and technical program management. We work with execution partners (Device Global Logistics Field Service Providers ADRL) who deliver the physical movement against the requirements plans and business logic we provide.



- 5 years of people management and team development experience
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management operations engineering analytics or related field
- 7 years of supply chain management (e.g. logistics inventory turn management forecasting operations) experience

- Experience working within a global company with multi-country responsibilities
- Experience in Logistics Distribution or Fulfillment processes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
