About this role:

The Senior Manager of EH&S leads and continuously advances the Environment Health & Safety strategy for a Carrier manufacturing facility. This role leads strengthens and continuously improves the EHS management system drives a zero-incident culture and ensures full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads execution and continuous improvement of the EH&S strategy and management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001) for the site.

• Ensures compliance with applicable federal state and local environmental health and safety regulations (OSHA EPA).

• Leads risk protection programs behavior-based safety and safety culture.

• Manages environmental permits air/water permits and relationships with regulatory agencies.

• Leads and develops the EH&S team.

• Directs incident investigations OSHA recordkeeping root-cause analysis and corrective action plans.

• Owns EHS metrics audits and management reviews.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree

• 8 years of industrial Environmental Health & Safety experience including 3 years in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related field.

• Experience in complex fast-paced manufacturing environments.

• Certifications such as CSP CIH or ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 lead auditor.

• Experience driving cultural change and behavior-based safety.

• Expert knowledge of US federal state and local EH&S regulations (OSHA EPA) and recordkeeping/reporting requirements.

• Demonstrated experience leading implementing and continuously improving EHS management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001) and driving behavior-based safety.

• Experience managing environmental permitting (air/water/waste) and regulatory-agency relationships.

• Proven ability to lead incident investigations root-cause analysis and corrective action programs.

• Professional certifications such as CSP or CIH are strongly preferred.
