Sr Lab Support Specialist 1st Shift

Join our dedicated team in Unity Lab Services as a Lab Support Specialist where we provide seamless support tailored to our customers unique needs.Wereseeking an organized individual to handle lab support operations includingglasswash garment management and gas/dry ice management.Youllbe the primary point of contact for lab personnel ensuring compliance and efficiency in all support activities.

A day in the Life:

• Perform specific tasks associated with labware operations including precision cleaning inventory management quality control and sterilization through autoclaving

• Handle gas cylinder order placements andpossessknowledge of gas meters with the ability to safely manage encounters with HAZMAT materials.

• Collect used labware/materials from various labs and ensure dedicated points of use are fully restocked

• Handle gas garment and dry ice management ensuring a consistent supply and safe storage of these materials.

• Partner with clients to understand their labware and material needs providingtimelysupport and ensuring stock availability

• Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices SOPs & Work Instructions

• Maintainaccurateinventory records fulfill contractual obligations andassistin tracking business metrics.

• May perform other duties as assigned by management.

Keys to Success:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

2years experiencewith material handling customer facing lab environment or related experience is.

Good x Practice (GxP) environment or laboratory setting experience preferred

Knowledge Skills Abilities

• Proficiencywith Microsoft 365 applications (Excel Outlook Teams).

• Strong attention to detail organizational skills and a safety-first approach.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline.

• Personal protective equipment such as lab coats coveralls facemasks and steel-toe shoes is often.

• The position requires regular lifting of 30-40lbs(up to 50lbsoccasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and pallet jacks.

• Standing walking reaching and bending are frequent activities sometimes in varied temperature environments.

• Overtime work may also be necessary.
