Were looking for an Innovation & Design Engineer to lead the development of our drone delivery operations site designs. Youll have the opportunity to integrate across cross-functional teams spanning drone engineering maintenance operations and site construction. Youll own the mechanical and electrical design of certain operational equipment as well as the overall site layout. Your designs will be driven by a wide range of requirements from drone engineering maintenance operations construction health and safety and more. Youll work to meet key metrics for cost throughput and schedule while balancing the various requirements. Youll learn from our current operational sites and leverage that to define our next generation of drone delivery operations sites as we grow bigger and better.

Key job responsibilities
This role will require occasional travel (10-20%) to support site launches and learn from existing operational sites.

- 5 years of design & innovation research & development work experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (any domain) Operations Business Administration or a related field
- Experience with design & innovation and research & development
- Experience in management of engineering design projects
- Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel MS Project and CAD software

- Knowledge of concepts like system architecture optimization system dynamics system analysis statistical analysis reliability analysis electronic system design and decision making
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment packaging technologies and systems and high-speed manufacturing
- Experience with design-in-safety
- Experience in aviation operations and/or airport construction and operations
- Experience in robotics or automation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
