Sr Financial Analyst, AWS SMGS Ops Finance

As a Senior Financial Analyst youll partner with sales and finance leaders to develop business strategies financial models and analytical insights. This role requires problem-solving to navigate ambiguous projects where you and your team will define the problem space establish frameworks and create structure from complexity. Individually youll manage a portfolio focused on customer growth trends productivity measures and resource planning improvements while helping build best-in-class finance practices across AWS. Success in this role includes

Supporting strategic financial analyses for key business initiatives and investments
Coordinating revenue planning with Sales Marketing and support teams
Managing a portfolio of sales organization productivity measurements
Integrating GenAI into sales financial planning and analysis processes

The ideal candidate is confident in working with open-ended business cases and can manage the case from hypothesis definition through analytical insight and recommendation. You must support decision-making in fast-paced environments with strong data discovery skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects autonomously. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for executive and cross-functional interactions.


- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
