• Interpret engineering documents such as drawings technical manuals and technical specifications
• Examine documents (blueprints drawings change orders and specifications) and verify completeness and accuracy of data
• Confers with document originators and technical experts and or customers engineering liaison personnel resolves discrepancies and implements required changes
• Serves as customer liaison and reports customer concerns
• Determines costs of processing products and provides quote information for customers
• Investigates problems and initiates effective measures for their solution
• Maintains an awareness of developments and technologies in the area of coating techniques assembly processes and material control
• Provides recommendations regarding feasibility of using alternative approaches modifying or replacing processes to reduce costs or improve quality
• Enters data and maintains related files
• Participates on improvement teams as needed
• Other duties as assigned
