We are currently searching for a Senior Reliability & Maintainability Engineer to join our team we are seeking individuals with the technical skills and personal leadership attributes to help support program development through the application of system safety techniques.

This role will be worked onsite in Cedar Rapids IA or Richardson TX and will require an active SECRET clearance. Relocation assistance is available.

What You Will Do:

  • Supportsprogram developmentthrough the application of reliability and maintainability techniques

  • Participatesinallphases of program life cycleutilizingreliability and maintainability methodologies as they apply in our systems engineeringprocessesinaccordance withmilitary standardssuch as MIL-HDBK-217 MIL-HDBK-338B MIL-HDBK-470 MIL-STD-1629A

  • Provides input to the development ofFailure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Reliability Maintainability analysis and predictions Reliability Critical Items List and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)

  • Providessupport to reliability and maintainabilitymodeling and predictionsanalysis testability analysis maintainabilityand built-in-test demonstrations environmental testingFMEA/FMECAandFRACAS

  • Serve as aReliability &Maintainabilityrepresentativetoengineering and business leadership

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

  • U.S. citizenship isrequired as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance isrequiredprior to start date

  • Experience with systems engineeringlifecycle; knowledge of how to apply reliability and maintainability techniques to systems requirements

  • Experience supporting design and development teams to develop assess and verify Reliability & Maintainability related requirements for mission-critical systems

  • Experience in conducting/developing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions Reliability Critical Items List and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) BuiltInTest (BIT) design / verification analysisand/ortestability analysis

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience intechnical proposal preparation related to Reliability & Maintainability

  • Experience using industryrecognized tools such asRelyenceReliasoftWindchilloreXpress

  • Experience planning and conducting Accelerated Stress Testing or a willingness to learn and apply those techniques such as Highly Accelerated Life Test processes (HALT) Reliability Enhancement Test (RET) Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS)

  • Knowledge ofsystemsarchitectures and designs

  • Knowledge of basic circuit analysis and the ability to perform detailed analyses on complex systems

  • Understanding ofmilitaryaircraft-related missions functional operation performance specifications and validation techniques

  • Familiarity with agile development and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)

  • Oral/written communication and presentations skills with the ability to effectively interact and build trust with team members including engineering management engineering teams program management business development support groups and subcontractors

Onsite:Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
