Job Summary
Senior-level engineer applying electrical engineering knowledge and skills for large complex long duration engineering projects.
Day to Day Role
Manage and prioritize projects or programs of large size scope and duration
Lead and coordinate project work with other engineers technicians designers and/or or drafters
Troubleshoot analyze identify evaluate propose implement and document engineering solutions electrical designs and software systems for machine and process controls
Lead the creation and modification ofdesigns and requirements for automated production equipment electrical and hardware schematics Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) ladder logic Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and controls software
Oversee equipment debug and installations
Identify broad conceptual ideas and develop them into useful solutions
Collaborate with production personnel and other departments to gather information and draft reports and improve equipment processes and products
Create test parameters and participate in the testing and implementation of engineering solutions
Establish continuous improvement plans where efficiency quality safety or service can be improved

Core Skills and Qualifications
The ideal canddiate must posses the following:
Requires one of the following:
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and six (6) years of related engineering experience OR
Associatesdegree and twelve (12) years of related engineering experience
Experience designing developingimplementingand troubleshooting complex control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) ladder logic Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and controls software
Experience utilizing 5S procedures
Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles techniques procedures and equipment to the design and production of various products
Knowledge of arithmetic algebra geometry calculus statistics and their applications
Advanced knowledge of design techniques tools andprinciplesinvolved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models
Advanced knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutionsconclusionsor approaches to problems
Ability to successfully prioritize and manage large complex projects deadlines and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
Strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information
