Oversees transitional work return-to-work and workplace accommodation programs that support employees with medical restrictions injuries or disability-related needs. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate work capacity facilitate appropriate accommodations and support safe timely and compliant return-to-work outcomes.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates and manages transitional work and return-to-work programs for injured or disabled employees.
  • Reviews medical documentation and work restrictions to determine appropriate job accommodation and transitional work assignments.
  • Monitors employee progress and adjusts return-to-work plans based on medical updates and functional capabilities.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of case activities communications accommodations and outcomes.
  • Serves as a liaison and collaborates with employees managers HR staff healthcare providers and other stakeholders to facilitate effective case coordination and resolution.
  • Provides education for employees and managers on accommodation return-to-work and Workers Compensation processes.
  • Participates in case conferences and claim review meetings as needed.

Education Requirement:

Bachelors Degree in Nursing Case Management or related field or equivalent experience required.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Workers Compensation laws claims management and return-to-work programs.
  • Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) reasonable accommodations and the interactive process.
  • Excellent communication organizational problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.

Experience:

  • Two years of case management experience in occupational health disability management workers compensation or related setting required.
  • Experience reviewing medical records work restrictions and functional capacity information required.
  • Experience working with self-insured employers third-party administrators and Workers Compensation carriers required.
