Sr Application Engineer

The Senior Application Engineer role offers the opportunity to join an exciting highly motivated team where your expertise in Finite Element Analysis will help customers succeed with Cadencesadvanced CAE simulation solutions. These solutions support pre-processing and post-processing of data across a wide range of industries including aerospace automotive turbomachinery industrial and marine. Using Cadences suite of FEA tools you will develop creative and innovative customer solutions benchmark product capabilities across diverse applications advocate best practices and collaborate closely with sales and product teams.

Job Duties

• Provide expert technical support and deliver effective solutions that enable customers to address complex design challenges using Cadences software portfolio.

• Develop highquality CAE models to support ProofofConcept engagements demonstrating robust pre and postprocessing capabilities.

• Conduct software evaluations benchmarks and indepth technical discussions to improve customer productivity and decisionmaking.

• Deliver onsite and virtual training sessions technical presentations and product demonstrations to support sales and customer success initiatives.

• Develop automation scripts within Cadence products to streamline and optimize customer CAE workflows.

• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge collateral to support customer education and selfservice adoption.

• Proactively identify opportunities to expand and proliferate Cadence product usage within customer environments.

• Communicate customer requirements feedback and insights from support engagements to R&D and Marketing teams to influence product direction and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related field.

• 3 years of experience in CAE model development and finite element analysis using industrystandard solvers such as MSC Nastran LS-DYNA Abaqus etc.

• Handson experience with ANSA and META in aerospace automotive turbomachinery or marine applications.

• Knowledge of additional pre/post/solver technology workflows is an added plus.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python; demonstrated scripting capability is a strong plus.

• Prior OEM product development experience is highly desirable.

• Strong written presentation and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.

• High attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Proven team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to propose and implement process improvements in an evolving environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel and work at customer sites throughout North America.
