Sr. Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to lead our property accounting function. This role will oversee financial reporting ensure compliance with accounting standards and manage a team responsible for a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills deep knowledge of property accounting and hands-on experience with Yardi.

• Lead and manage the property accounting team including hiring mentoring and performance management
• Oversee monthly quarterly and annual close processes for assigned property portfolios
• Review and approve financial statements reconciliations and variance analyses
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Maintain and optimize accounting processes and internal controls
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Yardi including system optimization reporting and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with asset management property management and other cross-functional teams
• Support budgeting forecasting and audit processes
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA preferred)
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in property accounting
• 3 years of experience managing or leading a team
• Strong proficiency with Yardi (Voyager preferred)
• Deep understanding of real estate/property accounting including CAM reconciliations and lease structures
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
